Holiday Sleepover

Foster a dog or cat for a holiday sleepover and give them the gift of love and comfort this Christmas.

The holidays are here, and we have so many animals in our shelter waiting for a chance to experience the warmth of a home. You can give one of our dogs or cats a much-needed break from shelter life by fostering them for a special holiday sleepover. It’s means so much and may just be the best gift you give and get this holiday season.

How it Works

  1. Fill out our Foster Application in advance to save time or just come in to see the animals.
  2. Bring all family members to meet your foster pet
  3. Dogs in your home will need to do a meet and greet here at the shelter with any dog before you foster.
  4. Pick up your foster pet between December 19th – 24th*
  5. You can return the animal after the Holiday, by scheduling an appointment. If you can’t live without them, making them a part of your family or becoming a long term foster is also welcomed!
  6. We will provide all the supplies needed for fostering.
  7. *pickup and return times are during regular adoption hours daily 12-5pm (closed Wednesdays) and by appointment. Christmas Eve hours are 12-3pm.

How Fostering for the Holidays Helps the Animals

When you foster one of our dogs or cats, it gives them a chance to experience the joy of a real home. You will provide them much needed relief from the stress of the shelter environment. When you provide feedback and photos of the animal you are fostering it helps us increase the likelihood that they will be adopted.

Why Fostering a Pet for the Holidays Matters

When shelter animals spend time in a home, even if it’s brief, it helps them decompress. It can help improve their behavior and gives us more insights into their personalities. You’re giving them hope and a better chance at finding a forever home.
